Here’s Jon and I, July 2, 2005- of course I’m going to post one of the best  photos ever taken of me   I love to post my wedding photos because they came out so incredibly great. We both teared up when we saw them for the first time. Here is where I give props to my fantastic photog (and fellow nurse) Signy at Shine Photography in Vancouver. She worked magic!

Jon and I ‘met’ over the internet on a dating site nearly 10 years ago.  I don’t feel odd telling people this anymore because it seems like nearly everyone we know has met someone this way. We were long distance for nearly 5 years because Jon lived in England and I was here in Canada. I was lucky enough to find someone who was just right for me who was also willing to pick up and leave everything he knew to relocate here!

I have a teenage daughter and son from my first (practice) marriage. I try to sneak in a photo of them on the blog here and there and I complain about them sometimes too. If anyone told me how hard the teenage years were going to be….well, I wouldn’t have listened. Trust me– it can be rough!

We have 2 little dogs, Buster and Molly, who I might introduce if they are being cute and not too annoying that day.

Right now, I’m planning lots of fundraising ideas for my Weekend to End Breast Cancer walk in August. Jon and I will both be walking 60 km in 2 days and I need to raise a minimum of $4000 for the cause. I hope you will join in with some of my blog ideas and help me reach my goal.

I have a little hobby making totebags and accessories out of recycled juice pouches and thrift store denim jeans. You’ll see me post about my adventures with that from time to time as well.
