Juicybags Is Back

I spent some time listing some of my Juicybags stuff in my Etsy shop last night. I forgot how time consuming that can be! Now to promote and try to get some sales for Christmas. The great thing about my Juicybags for online shopping is that the shipping is usually quite reasonable since they are so lightweight. If I can pack them flat enough, I can even send them by letter post which is much cheaper than package rate.

Now- if only Canada would get a nice, simple flat rate system going I could get to selling more soaps too! I have to get Jon to update my Juicybath site today. I’ve sold out of so many of my soaps that are pictured there. Lots of new stuff is on the curing racks though. We just have to figure out how to get better photos to show them off properly. I’ve got another craft fair this weekend so I’ll be busy in between working nights (ugh!) this week to get everything stocked up again. I need to make more Whipped Body Butters and I need scent suggestions. I made some unscented and only sold one or two. I guess scented is the way to go for that product.

It’s about time I offered one of my own creations to benefit my fundraising efforts, don’t you think? I hope you like this little multi-coloured tote-bag I made out of recycled (and cleaned!) empty Koolaid Jammers pouches. The sides are made from re-purposed denim from thrift store jeans. This auction will also include a Juicybags wallet-styled after Jon’s old, worn out wallet. I’ve got a few of them already made, so you can take your choice. (I’ll post the colours when I get home and check)

The bag measures about 11″ high x 11″ wide x 4″ deep. The wallet has lots of slots for your cards and a big money pouch, with a velcro closure.

The tote holds lots of stuff and it’s fun to carry. I get lots of comments on my Juicybags everywhere I go with them.

Here’s How To BID (it’s so easy!):

1: Hop on over to my Etsy shop. Browse around and choose your favourite item there.

2. Come back here and leave a comment, telling us:

a) The name of your favourite item.

b) The $ amount of your bid for this tote bag and wallet set.

3. Check back often during the week, to see if you’ve been out-bid. You may bid as often as you like.

4. Bid increments for this item will be $1 minimum (for example: if the highest current bid is $10, you must bid $11 or more)

5. Bidding starts at only $10.00 for this bag and wallet set.

Bidding for this item will end at 12:00 noon PST on March 20th.
Winner will be notified by email and must respond within 48 hours

with their shipping details.

Item will be shipped directly from the supplier.

All payments for items won can be paid via my online donation page at the End Cancer website (or you can pay via my Paypal donation link if you prefer) Net proceeds from the walk go directly to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Juicybags Camera Cases

I recently did a custom order for an Etsy customer. One of the things she was looking for was a small case for her pocket camera, to prevent it getting scratched up in her purse. Most regular camera cases are padded and quite bulky and not practical for tucking inside a purse. I created these little Juicybags camera pouches for her.
The sides are made from strips of recycled denim, just like my larger totebags. I may tweak the design a bit, perhaps using a narrower bias tape for the edges, and make some more for my Etsy Shop.
What do you think?

What is wrong with the marketing department at CapriSun? How dare they change their packaging without consulting me? Don’t they realize that some people LIKE pink? Lots of pink…entirely PINK?!
Nope, I don’t think they considered me in this decision. Not only can I NOT get them here in Canada, now it looks like the pouch on the right is the new packaging that I’m stuck with from now on. What do you think? Are my bags still going to be pretty, even if they aren’t ENTIRELY pink?

Pretty In Pink

I’ve had a couple of customers ask about a smaller bag for little girls, or something that could be used as a handbag, so I came up with this tiny tote the other day. I made it out of CapriSun
Berry Breeze pouches which are mostly pink. It’s got a velcro closure inside the top, so it could be used as a handbag or an
open-top tote bag.
I’m going to have to hunt down some more of these pink pouches,
because the bag sold just a few minutes after I listed it in my Etsy store, and I’ve got at least 2 more customers that are interested in buying it.

A Custom Order

Just finished this little mini backpack purse yesterday for a customer. It has adjustable shoulder straps, a drawstring top and buckle closure. There is a little denim pocket inside for her phone. The lining is made from soft flannel fabric. I’m really pleased with the way it turned out. (even though I had to actually BUY Koolaid to get enough pouches for this:-) My supply of pouches is down at the moment– not enough Blue Raspberry left.
Today I will finish another order and get that into the mail. Then I really have to get my Christmas shopping done! Yikes– time is getting short.

I’m also working on something completely different, new and exciting!
